The Forman S. Acton Educational Foundation (FSAEF) will again be providing full scholarships, which cover all tuition and transportation costs for high school students to attend the summer STEAM Academy at Rowan University! The dates are July 8th to July 27th. The scholarship is available to all students attending Salem High School in the fall, and to students living in Salem City and attending another public high school. Tell all of your friends!

Please note: the current application deadline is April 30, 2018.

To learn more about the programs offered this summer and start the application process you may go to this website: https://www.rowan.edu/steam/. Completed applications should be submitted to Rowan for review. Rowan will determine who is accepted and FSAEF will automatically cover the tuition and transportation costs for eligible students.

Briefly, the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) Academy is a three week program at Rowan University for rising 9th graders (day program, 9 am - 12 pm) and 10th, 11th and 12th graders (residential program, morning or all day).  The program exposes high school students to college campus life while immersing them in STEAM-focused learning experiences and field trips. Upon successful completion of the program, residential program students earn three transferable, college-level Rowan University credits.

    Greetings

We are pleased to share with you some exciting news from the Forman S. Acton Educational Foundation (FSAEF) about some upcoming opportunities for students who live in, or attend public school in Salem City.

All students, from birth thru 12th grade who live in or attend public school in Salem, can enroll in our Acorn Fund, a college savings account funded by the FSAEF. This includes new students at Salem High School who might be transitioning from the elementary schools in Elsinboro, Lower Alloways Creek, Mannington or Quinton. These students may be enrolled after their first day of school in the fall at Salem High School. This link (https://www.formanscholars.org/what-we-do/acorn-fund) provides more detailed information about the program.

We hope you will share this communication with building administrators, guidance personnel or any other staff you deem appropriate. If you would like us to draft an email that you can send to parents and students who would qualify for any of our programs, please let us know.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
